Du Hag Owr have been a fixture on the shanty scene for over 15 years – and while three of them are getting old (their words!), they’ve been lucky to welcome some youth and enthusiasm in recent years to keep them on their toes.
Their humour remains intact, paired with traditional and modern shanties including their own original tributes to the RNLI. They’ve performed everywhere from the Minack Theatre to the Golden Hind, at festivals, weddings and any other excuse for a beer.
A career highlight came in 2021 when they were asked to perform for the 12 world leaders and their partners at the G7 Summit’s end-of-term barbecue on the beach at Carbis Bay – a unique experience
