We are Mordros, a folk quartet based in south west Cornwall.
We’re all about satisfying, complex harmonies and lesser known shanties and sea songs. Having met through the folk scene in Cornwall, we all bring a wealth of experience with us. From singing for Balfolk and Nos Lowen, shanties, Morris dancing and its strong singing tradition, we’ve sung from pub shouts to concert halls, coming together in a capella 4 part harmony. Our name, Mordros, means the sound of the sea, and our influences come from our forays on boats of all descriptions.
