The Barrel Seagals are an all-female sea shanty crew hailing from Bude, Cornwall.
With spirited harmonies and infectious energy, they put a fresh twist on traditional shanties by singing them from a distinctly female perspective. Their repertoire blends classic sea songs with original penned material inspired by Cornish legends, local maritime history, and works by Cornish women including Brenda Wootton.
Since their debut, they’ve been delighting audiences at community events, summer gigs and regional festivals, steadily building a devoted following with every performance whilst inviting audiences to join in the fun. They look forward to making more new friends in Mevagissey again this year – one of their favourite festivals.
